Acceptance of Apple Pay is growing quickly with over 2,500 banks, 700,000 merchant locations and 40,000 Coca-Cola vending machines, according to the Verge. That number is scheduled to grow to 100,000 vending machines by year’s end.
In addition to the Coca-Cola Company, vending cashless payment providers have been steadily adding the Apple Pay option including USA Technologies, Cantaloupe and VendScreen. Apple Pay was released in the fall of 2014.
