Google announced it is part of an initiative called the ‘Physical Web’, which is a project that creates on-demand interaction with smart devices, without having the user download an app, according to a release on GitHub. On its Website the company says that people should be able to walk up to a smart device, such as a vending machine, and use the device on their smartphone with one tap.

The project is experimenting with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) on the smartphone device that would broadcast a URL into the area around the user.

There is no information yet when the project will be completed or released to the public. Full article.
