LOS ANGELES--()--Soylent Nutrition, Inc., the makers of Soylent Drinks and Powder, today announced that they are expanding into the growing nutrition bar category with an exciting new product: Soylent Squared. Soylent Squared is the first 100 calorie mini-meal bar and is engineered to be complete with 5g of plant protein, 36 essential nutrients and probiotics for digestive health. Sold in cases of 30 bars on Soylent.com, Soylent Squared is available in three delicious flavors, including Chocolate Brownie, Salted Caramel and Citrus Berry.

“There are a lot of bars out there but most are high in sugar, use less sustainable animal-derived protein and often lack the nutrients that your body needs to thrive,” said Bryan Crowley, Soylent’s CEO. “We developed Soylent Squared to allow our customers to portion out the nutrition they need when they need it; you can enjoy 1-2 for a healthy snack or 3-4 for a complete meal.”

The launch of Soylent Squared follows closely on the heels of the brand’s January launch of its 11 ounce drink, Soylent Bridge, the In-Between Meal. These launches demonstrate that Soylent is serious about expanding its portfolio into new formats and usage occasions.

“Some of our best product ideas have come straight from our customers, so we’re excited for them to try Squared. We’re also looking forward to building our customer base with the launch of our new convenient, healthy and more sustainable nutrition bar,” adds Crowley.

Consumer demand for convenient and healthy on-the-go snack options continues to increase in the U.S., with the snack bar market expected to reach $8.8 billion by 2023. In addition, Nielsen data shows that plant-based foods sales grew 17 percent in the past year. Soylent Squared was designed within the same guidelines as the existing Ready-to-Drink and Powder lines: a balance of macronutrients combined with 36 essential nutrients, including 26 vitamins and minerals, 9 amino acids, 2 essential fatty acids, including omega-3 and omega-6. The company also decided to add probiotics to Soylent Squared to help consumers support their digestive health. With 3 grams of sugar, Soylent Squared is lower in sugar than most snack bars and with three delicious varieties, you don’t have to sacrifice taste for nutrition.

Soylent Squared can be purchased online exclusively at www.soylent.com (U.S.) A case of Soylent Squared costs $30.00, and each case holds 30 [25g] Squares.
