LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Soylent Nutrition, Inc., the makers of Soylent Drinks, Powder and new Soylent Squared nutrition bars, today launched a partnership with the nation’s largest food industry redistributor Dot Foods. Soylent’s flagship 14-oz ready-to-drink products are now available to Dot Foods’ approximate 4,500 distribution customers serving foodservice, supermarket, retail, and convenience sales channels. In response to consumer demand and rapid company growth, Soylent is partnering with Dot to make its offerings more readily available. Dot will immediately expand Soylent’s availability across a variety of retail and foodservice channels, provide a more flexible ordering system to customers, and provide operational support and efficiencies to further advance company growth.
“We’re on a mission to make complete, sustainable nutrition accessible, appealing, and affordable to all. As more consumers strive to balance demanding work, school and family schedules, we want to ensure they can access complete, nutritious options everywhere,” said Melody Conner, SVP of Sales at Soylent. “We’re honored to be able to partner with a world-class organization like Dot Foods, as they offer the reach, relationships and scale to help us achieve that goal and drive Soylent to the next level.”
Soylent has continued to find success in traditional brick-and-mortar retail, foodservice, and convenience channels after making the jump from e-commerce in early 2018, channeling the passion and enthusiasm of its consumer base to drive foot traffic in stores. This strategic alliance with Dot Foods comes on the heels of the company’s national expansion with Walmart, which made Soylent available nationwide in thousands of US Walmart locations. Due to the popularity of the product, expansion from 400 Walmart stores to 4,378 stores took place in less than a year. Soylent’s ready-to-drink product is now available in many of America’s leading retailers including Target, Kroger, CVS, 7-Eleven, and Select Safeway/Albertsons Divisions.
“Dot is committed to helping our business partners succeed,” said Eric Peters, Senior Business Development Manager at Dot, “and we are very excited to see this partnership with Soylent grow their reach—bringing these products to our customers.”
Dot’s extensive nationwide network will make it easier for retail and convenience stores—from legacy retailers to regional chains to family-owned convenience stores—to offer healthier, affordable, and accessible on-the-go snacks and meals in response to consumer demand. Soylent works with retailers and companies to meet consumers in all the places they may need complete nutrition to support a busy lifestyle.
