Mars expands Pop-Tarts lineup with extra-filled toaster pastries

Pop-Tarts says the new variety was built around consumer demand for more filling, a key driver for repeat purchases in sweet snacks.

Pop-Tarts is expanding its toaster pastry lineup with Pop-Tarts Super Stuffed, a new offering that contains 50% more filling than Pop-Tarts Frosted Strawberry toaster pastries. Mars said each box includes five individually wrapped toaster pastries.

Two flavors — Super Stuffed Strawberry Blast and Super Stuffed Molten Lava Cake — are set for nationwide distribution. A third flavor, Super Stuffed Cinnamon Caramel, will be exclusive to Walmart, according to the company.

Leslie Serro, vice president of marketing for Pop-Tarts, part of Mars Snacking, said the new line was developed in response to long-running consumer requests for more filling.
