Cheez-It, part of Kellanova’s snacking portfolio, is rolling out Cheez-It Crunch, a new product line that combines the brand’s familiar cheese-first identity with a 3D shape and louder crunch.
“Sensory snacking experiences,” including satisfaction derived from sensually self-indulgent snacks, are a key driver in snack consumption. Snacks that deliver novel and sensational experiences are driving viral trends on social media — evidenced by the 55 percent increase in video content uploads related to the “Crunchy snack/chip” category over the past 12 months, according to Tubular social data reviewed by Kellanova.
The new Cheez-It offering leans into the crunch. “As the name indicates, Cheez-It Crunch has a bold, craveable crunch, delivering a satisfying bite and making it a must-have for all snack lovers,” said Cara Tragseiler, senior brand director for Cheez-It, in a release.
Cheez-It Crunch is offered in three flavors: Cheez-It Crunch Kick’n Nacho Cheese, Cheez-It Crunch Zesty Jalapeno Cheddar and Cheez-It Crunch Sharp White Cheddar.
