Pop-Tarts brings back fan-favorite Cookie Dough flavor and debuts protein line
Pop-Tarts is bringing back its Frosted Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough toaster pastry after a three-year hiatus, responding to consumer demand and social media pleas. According to Kellanova, the flavor will return to shelves nationwide in November 2025, and “this time, it’s here to stay.” The revived Cookie Dough variant features a golden crust filled with sweet cookie-dough flavor, topped with a chocolate icing swirl.
In tandem with the flavor relaunch, Pop-Tarts is introducing Pop-Tarts Protein to meet the sweet-but-protein-forward desires of snackers. The new toaster pastries deliver 10 g of protein per serving. Kellanova will launch three Pop-Tarts Protein flavors in November: Slammin’ Strawberry, Boostin’ Brown Sugar Cinnamon, and Bumpin’ Blueberry.
Both the returning Frosted Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and the new protein line will be available in November.
