Pringles adds smoky, sweet and savory flavors to expand snacking options
New flavors from Pringles could help convenience services operators keep assortments fresh and appealing. Beginning in September, the brand will roll out six new varieties, led by a new Smoky collection of crisps and expanded Pringles Mingles puffed snacks.
The Smoky lineup introduces Smoky Bacon, Smoky Mesquite BBQ and Smoky Cheddar, and each pairs familiar flavors with a wood-fired twist. Pringles also is launching Sharp White Cheddar crisps, and the puffed Mingles line grows to include Cinnamon & Sugar and Jalapeño & Queso.
The launches reflect two major trends in snacking: growing demand for unique flavor experiences and the rise of shareable formats. The brands seek to deliver on-trend products that balance novelty with the brand recognition consumers already trust. With flavors spanning smoky, sweet, cheesy and spicy profiles, the new lineup offers something for diverse consumer preferences in breakrooms, micro markets and vending machines.
To generate buzz, Pringles is partnering with New York chef Calvin Eng, who will offer Smoky Mesquite BBQ crisps in a limited-time dish at his restaurant Bonnie’s. While the collaboration is exclusive to NYC, the broader launch ensures operators nationwide will have access to the new flavors this September.
Kellanova, Pringles’ parent company, supports foodservice, vending and micro market operators through its Away-From-Home channel.
