Mars debuts honey-roasted peanut M&M’s for fall launch
In a sweet-and-salty twist on a classic vending and micro market favorite, Mars will launch M&M’s Honey Roasted Peanut, available nationwide this September.
The new flavor — a permanent addition to the brand lineup — pairs a roasted nutty flavor with a touch of honey sweetness as a twist on the classic peanut M&M’s. It joins the brand’s growing list of flavor innovations, including PB&J, Peanut Butter Minis and Peanut Butter Mega.
For convenience services operators, M&M’s Peanut is a popular candy option, and Mars is betting on the new honey-roasted flavor to drive consumers’ interest with its nostalgic yet familiar flavor profile. M&M’s Honey Roasted Peanut is packaged in single size (1.63 oz.), share size (2.83 oz.) and sharing size stand-up pouches (8.6 oz.).
"We know how much our fans love M&M’s Peanut, so we wanted to bring forward an innovation that builds on the classic flavor they know and love — but this time through the popular combination of sweet and salty,” said Martin Terwilliger, vice president of marketing at Mars Wrigley North America, in a release.
