Sept. 13, 2021

Lily’s Sweets’ first plant-based gummi candies officially launch today in two colorful SKUs. Gummy Bears and Sour Gummy Worms both have less than 1g. of sugar, no added sugar, nor any GMO ingredients. They are keto friendly and gluten free, too.

Lily’s Gummies are available in tart and fruity flavors, including lemon-raspberry and apple-peach in the “sour” pack, and strawberry, orange, lemon and raspberry in the “bears” bag.

The confectioner describes its new line as a “BFY twist on a beloved confectionary that stays true to the brand promise of no added sugars, flavors and colors, without compromising on flavor or taste.”

Citing data from the National Confectioners Association, Lily’s said that its new offering comes at a time when the vast majority (80%) of consumers in the U.S reported purchasing non-chocolate candy since the start of the pandemic.

Lily’s is positioning its gummies as a sidekick to school lunches, after-dinner cravings and for a boost (without the sugar crash) during the workday.

The new BFY candy has am SRP of $2.78 for a 1.8-oz. bag.

Lily's Sweets started in 2012 with a plant-based chocolate bar first offered nationally in Whole Foods Market. Today, its expanded line of bars and baking chips, among other confections, can be found across the country at key retailers and in different channels. Hershey Co. acquired Lily’s earlier this year.
