Five Star boosts cold storage, pick capacity at Nashville facility

Workplace refreshment operations in Nashville are getting a larger Five Star facility designed to improve efficiency and support continued customer growth.
Five Star Breaktime Solutions has opened an 80,000 ft2 regional office and distribution facility in Antioch, Tenn., consolidating four Nashville-area locations into one operating hub. The new location more than doubles the size of the branch’s pick lines and provides four times the cold storage capacity. The warehouse is also fully climate-controlled. Five Star previously operated from facilities totaling about 55,000 ft2.

“This move represents an important investment in our people, our customers, and our future growth in Middle Tennessee,” Jason Craig, regional vice president, said in a statement. “By bringing our operations together under one roof, we have created a more efficient environment that allows us to better serve our customers while providing an enhanced workplace for our associates.”

During the Nashville ribbon-cutting event, Five Star representatives also presented a $5,000 donation from the company’s Feeding the Future foundation to Hope Fellowship Church. The donation will support the Rutherford County Atlas weekend food bag program for students experiencing food insecurity.

The Nashville project is Five Star’s second facility relocation and upgrade this year, following a move involving its operations in Dothan, Ala.
