NAFEM cancels Aug. 26-28 trade show in Orlando

Aug. 4, 2021

The North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers  (NAFEM) has cancelled its 2021 conference and trade show, according to a message at its website. The NAFEM Show was scheduled to take place from Aug. 26 to 28 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.

Founded 70 years ago, NAFEM represents more than 600 manufacturers of foodservice equipment and supplies. The association's biennial trade show displays the latest innovations in food preparation, cooking, serving and table service, refrigeration, storage, furnishings and ware-washing.

NAFEF said it will announce more details about the cancellation soon. Hotel rooms booked by showgoers through onPeak have already been cancelled. "We ask that you do not call [onPeak]," NAFEM advised.

NAFEF's decision to cancel its show comes as COVID-19 cases in Florida are rapidly rising.
