Hershey, Hormel, PepsiCo and others announce executive leadership changes
The Hershey Company named a president of its international business; Hormel Foods announced two R&D leadership appointments; PepsiCo added a member to its board of directors; Catalina Snacks named a chief marketing officer; and Horizon Family Brands promoted a chief customer officer as companies position leaders around growth and execution.
Hershey names Amanda Almond president, international
The Hershey Company named Amanda Almond president, international, effective October 12. Almond joins Hershey from Vinarchy, where she served as regional managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and led a region spanning 57 markets. She previously spent 12 years in senior regional leadership positions at Bacardi.
Almond has more than 30 years of consumer goods and retail experience. She will be based in Hershey’s U.K. office.
Hormel Foods appoints R&D leaders
Hormel Foods promoted Dr. Aaron Asmus to vice president of research and development and named Lisa Selk vice president of growth and innovation, R&D. Both appointments are effective October 26.
Asmus will lead the company’s R&D organization and report to Dr. Kevin Myers, senior vice president, R&D and food safety and quality. His responsibilities will include innovation and commercialization as well as the development of new products and technologies.
Selk will report to Asmus and focus on growth, innovation and connecting R&D with consumers and Hormel Foods’ brands. Her experience includes consumer insights, brand leadership and innovation.
PepsiCo elects Joaquin Duato to board of directors
PepsiCo elected Joaquin Duato as an independent member of its board of directors, effective December 1. He will serve on the board’s Audit Committee.
Duato is chairman and CEO of Johnson & Johnson. He has served as CEO since 2022, chairman since 2023 and a Johnson & Johnson director since 2022.
Duato joined Johnson & Johnson in 1989 and has held a series of executive positions during his tenure, including vice chairman of the Executive Committee from 2018 to 2021 and worldwide chairman, pharmaceuticals, from 2011 to 2018.
Catalina Snacks names Charlotte Mostaed chief marketing officer
Catalina Snacks appointed Charlotte Mostaed chief marketing officer as the company continues to expand its Catalina Crunch portfolio and retail presence.
Mostaed will lead the company’s marketing organization, including brand and creative, category management, consumer insights, direct-to-consumer and omnichannel efforts.
She most recently served as chief marketing officer at Health-Ade Kombucha, where her responsibilities included brand marketing, e-commerce and direct-to-consumer, consumer insights, innovation, media and creative. According to Catalina Snacks, she helped double Health-Ade’s revenue during her tenure and was with the company leading up to its acquisition by Generous Brands.
Horizon Family Brands promotes Scott Wallace
Horizon Family Brands’ portfolio includes Horizon Organic, Maple Hill Creamery and Wallaby Organic yogurt.
Wallace joined the company in November 2023 as vice president of sales and was promoted to senior vice president in 2025. Before joining Horizon Family Brands, he held leadership roles at Danone, Viega LLC, Kellogg Company and Procter & Gamble.
His experience includes wholesale and distribution, omnichannel and retail sales and data-driven sales management. Wallace began his career as a U.S. Army officer, serving in field artillery and military intelligence roles and attaining the rank of captain.
