Five Star Breaktime Solutions acquired Georgia Vending Services, a longtime operator based in Alpharetta, Ga. The move strengthens Five Star’s presence in the Atlanta metro area and its position as a convenience services operator in the Southeast.
Georgia Vending Services, founded in 1996 by Rick Austin, built its reputation on reliability and strong customer relationships. Five Star acknowledged while announcing the acquisition.
“While the decision to sell my business is bittersweet, I am confident we have found the right partner in Five Star Breaktime Solutions to carry on our legacy,” Austin said in a release. “Their commitment to reliable service, innovation, and values closely mirrors what Georgia Vending has stood for since its founding. I know our clients and employees will be in good hands moving forward.”
With the acquisition, Five Star will extend its micro market technology, vending programs and office coffee service to more workplaces across Atlanta and North Georgia. The company said Georgia Vending employees will join the Five Star team as it continues to focus on enhancing the workplace experience with fresh food, beverages, and coffee solutions.
“This acquisition aligns with our growth strategy and mission of reshaping the breaktime experience at more workplaces in Atlanta while honoring the foundation built by Rick and his team,” said Pat Barger, director of mergers and acquisitions at Five Star.
