Leadership changes at AVS and Coke Florida

AVS Companies has named Ciprian Bucsa general manager of its Houston branch, recognizing his success with US Products and local operations. Meanwhile, Coca-Cola Beverages Florida promoted veteran sales leader John C. Dearstine to oversee territory operations in Fort Myers. Both appointments underscore a focus on experienced leadership to drive performance in key convenience services markets.

AVS Companies promoted Ciprian Bucsa to general manager of the AVS Houston branch. Bucsa was previously hired to start up and manage AVS’s subsidiary company, US Products. He brings years of experience in distribution, vending and coffee operations in the Houston market.

“Ciprian has proven himself to be a highly valued member of the AVS team,” said Jeff Yoder, AVS vice president and general manager in a release. “He will serve a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of the branch and will lead our move to a new facility in January 2026.”

“Ciprian has done a wonderful job growing US Products and being an important part of the AVS Houston day-to-day operations,” said Tony Costa, AVS director of Texas sales and operations in a release. “He has been noted in the industry as one of the ‘Pro’s to Know,’ and he truly fits that description. His assistance has been invaluable to me and the Houston team. We look forward to his future growth with AVS.”


Coca-Cola Beverages Florida LLC promoted John C. Dearstine to territory general manager for the Fort Myers territory. Dearstine most recently served as sales director for the Fort Myers territory. He has over 39 years of experience in sales leadership roles across the Coca-Cola system. Prior to joining Coke Florida, he served as a retail growth manager on the franchise team with the Coca-Cola Company’s North America Operating Unit, supporting Coke Florida’s customer and marketing teams.

“John’s deep industry knowledge and undeniable impact on the business make him the ideal leader to guide our Fort Myers market,” said Jamaal Medley, vice president, field franchise operations at Coke Florida, in a release. “We look forward to his leadership in integrating sales, warehousing, distribution, and merchandising operations to drive strong local business performance.”
