The Coca-Cola Company announces new leaders in operations

Evguenia Stoichkova named president of Global Ventures; Sedef Salingan Sahin to lead Eurasia and Middle East operating unit.

The Coca‑Cola Company announced that Evguenia “Jeny” Stoichkova has been named president of Global Ventures, a unit of the company that focuses on globally scaling acquisitions and brands, including Costa Coffee and Coca‑Cola’s investment in Monster Beverage Corp.

Stoichkova currently serves as president of the company’s Eurasia and Middle East operating unit. Prior to her current role, which she has held since 2021, Stoichkova was president of the company’s former Turkey, Caucasus and Central Asia business unit from 2017 to 2020. From 2013 to 2017, Stoichkova served as franchise general manager for Italy and Albania. From 2010 to 2013, she was franchise operations director for Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and Albania. 

Stoichkova joined Coca-Cola Bulgaria in 2004 as franchise country manager. She became marketing manager for sparkling soft drinks in the Adriatic and Balkans business unit in 2007. She was named as area marketing manager in Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and Macedonia in 2008 before becoming brand director for still beverages for South Eastern Europe in 2009. Stoichkova started her career at Danone Group in 1994 and led Danone marketing in Bulgaria from 2000 to 2004.

Stoichkova begins her new role Jan. 1, 2023, and will report to president and chief financial officer John Murphy.

Stoichkova will be succeeded as president of the Eurasia and Middle East operating unit by Sedef Salingan Sahin, who currently serves as president of the nutrition, juice, dairy and plant category for the company. Sahin, who joined the company in 2003, has held several leadership roles within the organization. She assumed her current role in 2021.

Before being named president of the nutrition, juice, dairy and plant category, Sahin served as vice president of operations and strategy for the company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa group from 2018 to 2020. From 2016 to 2018, she was the company’s general manager for Thailand and Laos. Sahin joined Coca-Cola in 2003 as the strategy and insights manager for Turkey. She went on to serve in a series of marketing, strategy and operations roles including in bottling partner Coca-Cola Icecek, eventually leading to her appointment as general manager juices for Coca-Cola Turkey in 2011. Prior to joining Coca-Cola, Sahin worked in McKinsey & Company as consultant and in Procter & Gamble as brand manager. Sahin received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and political science from Bogazici University.

Sahin begins her new role Jan. 1, 2023, and will report to chairman and CEO James Quincey.
