Bernick’s held groundbreaking event for new vending building

July 12, 2023
To accommodate growth, the company has broken ground on a new building planned to open January 2024. The 36,000-square-foot vending building will be located at its Waite Park, Minnesota, headquarters.

Bernick’s, a fifth-generation, family-owned business that distributes Miller and Pepsi products along with a variety of craft and import beers, snacks, beverages, coffee, vending and foodservice solutions, announced it held a groundbreaking event for its new vending building. The 36,000-square-foot building will be located at its Waite Park, Minnesota, headquarters.

Bernick’s currently houses all vending in the main warehouse but has outgrown the space. The new building will feature multi-tiered vending pick lines, product storage bays, a 3,800-square-foot cooler, 1,800-square-foot freezer, offices and a breakroom.

There is also a separate area large enough to hold 20 vending delivery vehicles, when not delivering.

The new building will open January 2024, with about 45 Bernick’s vending team members working out of this location.

In business since 1916, Bernick’s has additional facilities in Bemidji, Brainerd, Duluth, and Willmar, Minnesota, as well as in Superior and Dresser, Wisconsin.
