Foodservice and facilities management giant Sodexo SA has appointed Stuart Winters chief executive of its U.S. healthcare division. The Sodexo unit delivers patient nutrition, culinary services, infection prevention and healthcare technology management, among other essential services, to Sodexo’s clients.
“Stuart has deep knowledge of healthcare operations around the world,” said Marc Plumart, chief executive of Sodexo Healthcare Worldwide.
Winters joined Sodexo in 2005 in Thailand, opening Sodexo business there, as well as in the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and Laos. He has a technical building services background in HVAC and electrical and, before joining Sodexo, had worked for Honeywell and organizations in the oil and gas industry.
Most recently, winters was chief executive of Sodexo's healthcare divsions in the UK and Ireland (2018-2021) and the Asia Pacific (2015-2018) regions. He led the effort to make Sodexo the UK’s largest provider of COVID-19 testing center.
Headquartered near Paris, Sodexo maintains its main U.S. office in Gaithersburg, MD.
