Grupo Azkoyen S.A., multinational vending machine and payments manufacturer based in Navarre, Spain, won the 2020 Equipment Supplier Award presented by the National Independent Vending Operators.
NIVO bestows the honor annually to a vending machine supplier. This year the operators’ organization recognized Azkoyen’s Coffetek coffee machine brand in Britain. This is the sixth time since 2013 that Azkoyen has won the award.
Founded in 1988, NIVO is a purchasing cooperative with more than 280 operator members and over 90 supplier members.
NIVO noted that Azkoyen has a strong presence in the UK, which is home to one of the manufacturer’s worldwide head offices, and where one of its three coffee machine factories is based.
Azkoyen is no stranger to the British vending industry’s award circuit. In previous years, it has been a winner in the "Vendies” program, and has recognized by Associated Vending Services Ltd., which operates more than 65,000 machines in the British market.
Commenting on the recent NIVO distinction, Azkoyen’s divisional director Juanje Alberdi said, “We have more than 75 years of experience developing technological innovations to adapt to the needs of our customers and end users. Examples include the patented Distance Selection technology, which is revolutionizing the market by allowing drinks to be selected without touching the surface of the machine, and the recently patented MIA micro-air injection technology that prepares a perfect, silky and consistent froth for a wide range of coffees and fresh milk drinks.”
