New York Thruway Addendum Addresses Blind Vendors' Participation In Service Areas Post-Modernization Project

The New York State Thruway Authority has updated a request for proposal for updates to the rest areas along New York's superhighway system to explicitly require any RFP proposers for the project to give priority to vendors trained by the state Commission on the Blind Business Enterprise Program, according to The USA Today Network's Democrat & ChronicleOrganizations representing the blind had been previously been raising concerns about communication regarding the plans.
