School Vending Machine Sells Art

A high school in Dalton, Georgia has installed a new and innovative vending machine that sells art, according to WRCB. Located next to a drink vending machine, this new vending machine sell art that is made by students. Over 160 students have created artwork that is displayed inside. The project was paid for with a grant of $3,000 from the Dalton Education Foundation.  

The money from the vending machine goes back to the school’s art department for supplies and materials. The vending machine holds about 300 pieces of art ranging from letters to pocket-sized cards. In the first week, the school sold nearly 50 pieces of art.
