As part of its ongoing series Chicagoans, Chicago Reader profiled Mark and Daniel Stein, brothers and owners of Chicago, IL-based Mark Vend Co. The company was started in 1962 by Mark and Daniel’s father with all-cigarette vending machines, according to the interview, and has grown to include full-line vending, OCS and micro markets. In the interview the pair discuss the memories of their father, taking over the family company and learning how to work as a team to succeed.
