WIN Makes Donation To NAMA Foundation Benefiting FitPick®

Dec. 7, 2015

(CHICAGO) December 4, 2015 – NAMA announced today that the Women of the Industry (WIN) will make a $2,500 contribution to the NAMA Foundation, benefiting the FitPick program. These funds were raised at WIN’s inaugural FunRun at CTW 2015 in Washington, D.C.

“WIN’s goal is to promote awareness of health and wellness in our industry. We are pleased to have had the broad-based support of the event from runners, walkers, volunteers and FunRun sponsors,” said Heidi Chico, WIN FunRun Chair.

“FitPick is a cornerstone of NAMA’s public affairs program, and is a large focus of the Foundation’s budget for advocacy,” said Lindsey Nelson, NAMA Foundation Executive Director. “Through the support of the Positioning for Growth Campaign, FitPick was rebranded and expanded. As the changing nutrition landscape continues to impact our industry, supporting further development of FitPick is an important element of NAMA’s advocacy efforts.”

“We thank WIN and the Foundation for this contribution to further advance FitPick in 2016, specifically the development of a FitPick Approved initiative,” said Roni Moore, NAMA Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations. “Plans also include enhanced partnerships with allied organizations, federal agencies and elected officials to strengthen our industry’s role as part of the nutrition solution.”
