LOS ANGELES, Dec. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- AVT, Inc., a leading manufacturer of automated retailing centers, self-service kiosks, and custom designed vending machines, clarified today that it should not be considered to be in the legal marijuana or cannabis sector.
AVT formerly manufactured vending machines for a company named Medbox (which operates within the cannabis sector), however that relationship has ended. Moreover, the extent of AVT's relationship with the cannabis industry was limited to selling vending machines, as it has to many other business sectors.
AVT's management states that the company is a leading technology integrator and developer of customized solutions to provide automated, self-service retailing platforms.

Some stock watch websites list AVT under the cannabis sector, however, management states that using this logic, if the company manufactured soda machines for Coke, it would be considered a beverage company.
