Analyst Predicts Strong Growth For Meat Snacks

Meat snacks are now a multi-billion dollar industry, the growth of which is outperforming the majority of other snacks, according to BakeryandSnacks. The analysis comes from Jack Skelly of Euromonitor who is reported as saying meat snacks are extremely popular. While sales of chips, biscuits and other snacks are significantly higher than meat snacks, the major meat snack brands have seen global increases of 10 to 11 percent a year for the last four years – which has outpaced the other snacks categories growth rates, according to the source.
