Corporate Essentials Named To 2015 Inc 5000 List

Aug. 14, 2015

Office refreshment provider, Corporate Essentials has been named to Inc Magazine’s annual Inc 5,000 list of the United States’ fastest-growing companies, coming in at #3,878 on their list for 2015.

This is the fourth time in the company’s 19-year history that it’s landed on the magazine’s list of top privately held businesses, most recently ranked as #3,133 in 2012.

“One of the main reasons we’ve been able to grow so rapidly is our ability to adapt to change,” said Judson Kleinman, President of Corporate Essentials. “We’re part of an industry that remained really unchanged for a long time, but in the past few years, we have seen rapid changes in what our clients expect from us.”

The last time Corporate Essentials made the Inc 5,000 list in 2012, it was considered an office coffee service, providing mainly coffee to offices in New York City and New Jersey. Since then, it has evolved to offer more than 3,000 different products, helping companies lay the foundation on which a positive company culture can be built.

“When you talk to any business leader, they will almost always mention the struggle to attract and retain top talent in their industry,” said Kleinman. “Over the past 15 or so years, Google has taught us that attracting and retaining the best employees is directly connected to a company’s refreshment program.”

The company develops and implements office refreshment programs focused on products that refresh (cold drinks), refuel (healthy snacks) and recharge (great coffee); this concept, along with it’s full-service refreshment offering helped it land on this year’s Inc list.

“Some of the things that we’re doing are much different than what we were doing in 2012, but we’ve always been about providing the highest level of service possible,” said Kleinman. “What we’re doing now is simply about raising the bar on the level of service we provide.”

In addition to serving clients in the NYC and NJ markets, Corporate Essentials has also built a network of similar companies throughout the country to give them the ability to serve clients in other markets like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Portland (OR) and others.

“Partnering with other companies throughout the country has allowed us to take on accounts with a national presence, which in the past we would have to walk away from,” said Kleinman. “It has also let us see what other operators throughout the country do business, and in many cases, made us a better company.”

Corporate Essentials is the only company in the vending and office coffee service (OCS) industries named to Inc Magazine’s 2015 list, just as it was in 2007, 2011 and 2012.
