Wrigley Sees Gum Sales Recovering

Wrigley says marketing dollars and R&D efforts put into its Juicy Fruit brand last year helped win back young U.S. consumers who had moved away from the category and hopes innovations with sour flavors will pull in even more young people, reports Food Navigator. In the convenience store channel, gum is growing.

Gum revenues have been falling since 2009 with many gum manufacturers changing flavors and packages in an attempt to reverse the trend.
