The University of California, Santa Barbara began its first 2015-2016 student Senate meeting by introducing A Resolution to Re-Establish the School Supply Vending Machine Group Projects, reports The Bottom Line. Authored by Off-Campus Senator Isabelle Ninh and On-Campus Senator Lacy Wright, the resolution would create a school supply vending machine that would allow students to purchase Parscores, blue books, and other testing materials. Several students will work throughout the school year to evaluate machine inventory to determine modifications.
The source reports that the students will also determine how to use the revenues generated from sales. One student noted that he hopes the revenue from the sales will go to the AS Innovation Fund to offset student fees.
