The Kentucky House of Representatives passed a bill that would raise the state’s minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 per hour by 2017, according to The Tribune. House Bill 2 was approved 56 to 43. The minimum wage would increase in three phases including its rise to $8.20 per hour in 2015, $9.15 per hour in 2016 and $10.10 per hour in 2017.
The bill would exempt businesses making less than $500,000 in yearly gross sales. House Bill 2 moves on for Senate approval. Full article.
