Taste NY Vending Machines Make Rest Area Debut

Jan. 14, 2015

Taste NY vending machines have made their way from the Great New York State Fair to several rest areas in the state, according to Democrat & Chronicle. The machines—a joint venture between the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, the New York State Commission for the Blind and the New York State Department of Transportation—sell a variety of New York agricultural products that will be available on a rotating basis.

In a previous statement, Governor Andrew Cuomo said, “One of the best ways we can support New York’s agricultural businesses is to expose them to new markets where their products can thrive, and today we’re opening up another frontier for local vendors from across the state.” The machines are located at the Clifton Park Rest Area and the Broome Gateway Rest Area.
