California/Arizona Annual Meeting September 11-13 Reaches New Level In Grassroots Advocacy With Record Number Of Elected Officials

(CHICAGO)  August 19, 2014 -- Janette Carter, CAVC President and Brian Loomis, AAMC President announce that the upcoming joint meeting for the California Automatic Vendors Council (CAVC) and the Arizona Automatic Merchandising Council (AAMC) will feature elected officials including Congressman Tony Cardenas, Congressman Paul Gosar and California State Senator Joel Anderson.

 “CAVC and AAMC are honored to have Congressmen Cardenas and Gosar and State Senator Anderson join us.  It will be a great opportunity for our members to build a relationship with them and enhance their understanding of our industry,” said Carter. 

“Specifically, we plan to share information on employment and the many jobs our industry creates.  We’ll also present an overall perspective regarding vending, office coffee and micro markets and trends in the marketplace," said Loomis.

Congressman Cardenas (Democrat - CA) has represented the San Fernando Valley since January 2013. Congressman Gosar (Republican - AZ) has represented Prescott since January 2011. California State Senator Joel Anderson (California 36th State Senate District) has represented San Diego and Riverside Counties since 2011.

According to Sandy Larson, NAMA’s Legislative Director, the CAVC/AAMC Annual Meeting will be held September 11-13, 2014 at The Dana Resort on Mission Bay in San Diego.

“The involvement of our government officials is an important evolution in these successful, productive meetings.  We encourage our members to attend so they can gain valuable insight and access to their peers and our honored guests,” Larson continued.
