Vending Machine Vends Gifts Based On Facial Recognition

A software company, SAP, has launched a network of vending machines that use facial recognition and near field communication (NFC) along with a membership program to sell products to users, according to Yahoo! News. The machines can identify users based upon data collected and market specific snack or products in addition to accepting NFC payments, cash, mobile wallet apps or a credit card using large touchscreen fronts.
