NAMA announces calls for 2023 Coffee Legend of the Year nominations

NAMA members are encouraged to nominate their peers and colleagues with a demonstrated history of leadership and excellence in coffee services. Coffee Legend of the Year is awarded to a member with at least 10 years of service.

The National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) announced it has opened nominations for its 2023 Coffee Legend of the Year award. Members are encouraged to nominate their peers and colleagues with a demonstrated history of leadership and excellence in coffee services.

Coffee Legend of the Year is awarded to a member with at least 10 years of service. This individual is seen as a pioneer, innovator and is passionate about coffee and willing to share their passion and education to help others succeed. The award will be presented at NAMA’s Coffee Tea & Water, November 6-7, 2023. 

“This annual award is a recognition that pays special tribute to veterans and trailblazers in the coffee services industry," Carla Balakgie, FASAE, CAE, president and CEO of NAMA, said in the announcement. "Coffee Legends are the members who have achieved incredible milestones, made their mark and helped shape the journey of the industry and NAMA. I look forward to sharing the stage with our 2023 honoree in Indianapolis.”

The award winner should be a member who has shown distinguished participation in the coffee industry, including but not limited to, coffee service operators, coffee roasters, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, brokers and educators.
