The International Cocoa Organization released the first of its forecasts for the 2017 to 2018 cocoa year, including revised estimates of world production, grindings and stocks of cocoa beans for 2016 to 2017, in a summary on its website. The data is published in the newest issue of the Quarterly Bulletin of Cocoa Statistics, which reflects the most recent information available as at the beginning of February 2018.
The Bulletin contains the first forecasts for the 2017 to 2018 cocoa year, as well as data for the past four years of production and grindings of cocoa beans, detailed by country. In addition, it includes comments on crop and demand prospects in leading countries for the current season and a review of price developments on international markets for cocoa beans during the October to December quarter of 2017.
