Amazon Announces SNAP Beneficiaries In 11 States Able To Use USDA Pilot Program

Amazon has updated its announcements of steps it is taking to help during the COVID-19 pandemic. These include enabling customers in 11 states to use SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits to purchase groceries online. Those states are Colorado, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Read more about that program here.

In other news for the company, Amazon is building a grocery store in Schaumburg, Ill., a suburb of Chicago, Daily Herald reports. The article includes photos of the store, which used to be a Babies R Us.
