City Of Springdale, AR Mandates Vending Machine Food And Beverages Meet Nutrition Standards

The city of Springdale, AR, has been credited as the first city in Arkansas to require “evidence based nutrition standards for healthier food and beverages” in the vending equipment on city property, reports Newswise. The mandate is endorsed by the American Heart Association. The vending machine locations include city hall, police stations and fire departments.
