Douglass Distributing Retail Co. is partnering with Vendgogh, LLC to pilot gas island vending at their Lone Star Food Store #50 in Sherman, Texas – the first installation of its kind in the state of Texas. Vendgogh’s patented, UL-approved vending systems integrates seamlessly with Lone Star Food Store’s Gilbarco Passport point of sale system to enable gas customers to purchase gas and cold drinks with their choice of payment (cash, credit/debit or contactless payment) without ever leaving the gas island. Lone Star Food Stores want all of their customers to enjoy a comfortable and pleasant shopping experience, whether they come into the store or simply visit the gas island.

Research shows that a growing number of fuel customers are paying at the pump and a large percentage of them do not go into the store. Lone Star Food Stores are focused on continually enhancing the shopper experience at the pump.

The installations were completed in late June 2012.
