Caraway Tea expands Poughkeepsie facility to grow tea and wellness production
Caraway Tea Co. moved its headquarters and production operations to a larger facility in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., to expand its co-packing capacity for tea and wellness beverage products. From its new headquarters and production center, the company provides private-label co-packing, custom formulation, supplement-infused tea blending and foodservice packaging services.
Caraway Tea occupies 20,000 ft2 of the new facility, part of a larger industrial complex, for its production, blending and fulfillment operations. Caraway Tea selected the location with future expansion in mind, and additional space is available in the complex.
“This move represents an exciting new chapter for Caraway Tea,” said Michael Caraway, COO of Caraway Tea, in a statement. “Our expanded footprint will allow us to scale manufacturing, improve workflow efficiency and continue innovating in the wellness and tea categories. The building offers room to grow as our partnerships and product lines expand.”
As part of the relocation, Caraway Tea is significantly expanding its in-house quality control and research and development laboratory. The larger lab is intended to support advanced testing, formulation and product development. According to the company, the upgraded space will strengthen its focus on SQF-certified quality, product traceability and compliance in both beverage and supplement categories. SQF-certified is an internationally recognized standard for food safety and quality.
