Less coffee, ground more coarsely, is the secret to a cheaper, just as strong cup of espresso, a study that researchers from several countries published in the journal Matter on Jan. 22 has indicated. They argue that following their protocols — which decrease the mass of coffee used by up to 25% — will contribute to more sustainability in coffee consumption. The protocol is illustrated in the journal.
