Pod Pack International Produces One-Billionth Coffee Pod

The Advocate reports that Baton Rouge-based compostable coffee pad manufacturer Pod Pack International reached an important milestone of producing 1 billion single-use pods. Pod Pack International was founded by Bill Powell and Tom Martin in New Orleans in 1996. The Advocate also noted that Pod Pack International dedicated the one-billionth pod to Kyle Gatzke, a longtime employee who died in a motorcycle accident earlier this year.
