Coke Florida opens $84 million Orlando distribution center

Coke Florida’s new 180,000-square-foot facility expands distribution capacity across Central Florida with automated warehouse technology.

Coca-Cola Beverages Florida LLC opened a new $84 million Orlando distribution center to expand capacity and improve service across Central Florida.

The facility, located at 3095 Eunice Ave., includes automated warehouse technology designed to improve efficiency and order accuracy. Coke Florida said the investment supports its long-term growth strategy in one of the state’s fastest-growing regions.

The 180,000-ft2 distribution center sits on a five-acre site and includes 29 inbound and outbound docks. The facility is expected to handle about 34 million cases annually.

From the Orlando location, Coke Florida supports distribution across Orlando, Ocala, Daytona, Brevard and Fort Pierce. The service area covers about 15 counties.

“Today marks an exciting milestone for Coke Florida and reinforces our commitment to this region,” said Troy Taylor, chairman and CEO of Coke Florida, in a statement. “We are focused on making the right investments in our people, infrastructure and capabilities to support sustainable growth and deliver for our customers. This new distribution center represents another meaningful step forward as we continue building the future of Coke Florida.”

Derek Frederickson, region general manager for Central Florida, said the facility gives the company the scale, technology and work environment needed to support continued growth and customer service.

Company leaders, elected officials, community partners and customers attended the event, which featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and guided tours of the facility.

Coke Florida employs nearly 1,000 associates across Central Florida in sales, manufacturing, distribution and professional services.
