Sparkling Ice rolls out candy-inspired variety pack
Sparkling Ice is expanding its candy-inspired lineup with a new Sparkling Ice variety pack. The new line of Sparkling Ice flavors pairs the classic taste of Life Savers candy with Talking Rain Beverage Co.’s zero-sugar sparkling water. The Life Savers Red, White and Blue 12-pack also features two new flavors, White Grape and Blue Raspberry.
Talking Rain Beverage Co. said the limited-time pack also includes Sparkling Ice Life Savers Wild Cherry and Strawberry. The company is extending its collaboration with Mars with the new assortment, positioned for summer occasions such as Fourth of July gatherings.
To support the rollout, Talking Rain is launching an online sweepstakes tied to a “Flavor Rescue” promotion featuring American rapper Flavor Flav. The company said fans can submit why they need rescuing for a chance to have Flavor Flav help them tackle their to-do list with zero-sugar refreshment.
Lisa Holcomb, vice president of brand at Talking Rain, said the partnership is designed to pair classic candy flavors with a modern sparkling-water format. Ken Sylvia, CEO of Talking Rain, said the new variety pack is designed to give consumers more reasons to choose Sparkling Ice.
Why this matters for refreshment services operators
- Candy-flavor licensing continues to be a fast way for beverage brands to create seasonal buzz.
- The red, white and blue theme is a well-timed pairing with the United States’ semiquincentennial, which will be marked nationally by celebrations around the 4th of July.
- Operators may see a stronger impulse pull from a patriotic-themed product packaging that’s easy to sign and bundle.
