Canteen adds Odyssey Functional Energy after Foodbuy approval
Odyssey Functional Energy announced a national partnership with Canteen that the company said will place the brand in more than 8,100 workplace micro markets across the United States, beginning in January 2026.
The rollout is tied to Odyssey’s approval through Foodbuy, Compass Group’s national group purchasing organization. That approval allows Odyssey to expand beyond Canteen into additional Compass Group divisions such as Bon Appétit Management Co., Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services, Flik Hospitality Group, Restaurant Associates, Eurest USA, Compass One Healthcare and Morrison Healthcare.
The initial micro market launch will include Pineapple Mango from its 222-milligram caffeine line, the company said in a release, with additional stock-keeping units planned as the partnership scales.
Scott Frohman, founder and CEO of Odyssey Functional Energy, said the partnership is intended to increase the brand’s workplace availability and support broader expansion through the Compass Group network. The product will be available in selected Canteen markets as the rollout begins this month, including the Midsouth, Pacific and Midwest.
Odyssey said national distribution through Vistar will support supply and ordering as additional Compass divisions and products are activated.
