Pepsi Layoffs Loom In Philadelphia Following Beverage Tax

Local CBS affiliate CBS 3 in Philadelphia reports that Pepsi will eliminate 80 to 100 positions, including frontline and supervisory positions, in Philadelphia over the next several months. Pepsi says because of the recently enacted beverage tax in Philadelphia, their beverage sales are down 40 percent in the city and up only 10 to 15 percent outside the city.
