NAMA 2018 To Do List

March 5, 2018

This year, the team at NAMA redesigned the program to deliver an immersive experience featuring tailored education tracks, a revamped New Product Zone and interactive experiences across the showroom floor. The three-day show is going to be jam-packed with even more new products, immersive learning experiences and networking opportunities

Here are the five things that need to be at the top of your NAMA To Do List.

1. Attend the Keynote

This year’s keynote will feature a TED Talk-style format with Matthew Dowd, Political Analyst for Bloomberg and ABC and a Columnist for National Journal and Futurist Brian Solis, Acclaimed Thought Leader On Digital Transformation, Principal Analyst at Altimeter Group & Author side to discuss the political and consumer trends.

2. Hop on an Education Track

New for 2018 are the education tracks. There are five tracks to choose from: Business Development, Technology, Business Operations, Consumer/Marketplace Trends and finally, Politics and Policy. Attendees can customize their education path by choosing to follow one of the five tracks or mix and match them to best suit their needs.

The education sessions start Tuesday, the day before the NAMA Show, so consider coming a day early to participate in the Mastering Micro Markets, Unlock Your Company’s Growth Potential, Fundamentals of Building and Running a Successful Convenience Services Business. In addition to the education tracks are 20-minute Captivation Stations on the showroom floor.

3. Discover New Products

The New Product Zone got a makeover this year transforming to be a hands-on experience and not simply products behind a display case. Now, attendees can interact with the products and use their badge to scan the products that they like and a map to the booths that like.

4. Become an Advocate

Pop into NAMA Convenience Central inside the New Product Zone to learn about NAMA’s advocacy initiatives and discover ways that you can participate in making a difference for our industry.

5. Try EVERYTHING!

This one seems a little extreme, but hear me out: NAMA and their Marketing Sponsors have gone above and beyond this year to deliver an innovative immersive experience. You have to see it to believe it. Here’s the lay of the land:

• The Coffee Pavilion is bigger than it has ever been before.

• The Better-For-You Pavilion with products geared toward your health-conscious customers

• Vend This Pavilion to highlight new vending delivery systems.

In addition to the pavilions, Vistar has created a fully immersive pantry experience and 365 Retail Markets (that’s us) has Connected CampusSM stations throughout the showroom.

NAMA is like the Disney World of the convenience services industry. There’s a lot to see and even more to learn. Bring your walking shoes, a can-do attitude and get ready to be amazed.
