Vendekin launches AI assistant for vending operators
Why this matters to convenience services operators
- Operators already have the data. AI-enabled tools can help them more quickly turn it into route and inventory decisions. While many mending operators collect telemetry and payment data, some still struggle to turn it into quick, actionable answers.
- Adding text- and voice-based queries reflects a broader shift toward “ask the system” instead of report-building and dashboard navigation. Be prepared for clients to begin to look for this capability as well, as they lean into AI in other aspects of their operations.
- A “layer on top” approach, where AI tools are vendor-agnostic and simply read from existing systems, could make AI adoption more practical for operators with mixed technology stacks.
Vendekin Technologies has launched a pre-release version of an artificial intelligence assistant. VendAiQ is designed to help vending operators pull answers from existing vending management system data through text or voice queries.
The company said VendAiQ is built to sit as a controlled AI layer on top of current systems, including vending management systems, telemetry and operational data. The AI tool can help teams reduce time spent navigating dashboards, reports and spreadsheets to find operational answers.
Vendekin said data security is a core element of the beta release, with the platform designed to support secure data handling, controlled access and structured data processing. Operators can evaluate AI without exposing or replacing their core platforms.
The beta version is hardware- and software-agnostic and can connect with existing vending management systems in under three minutes, according to the company. Vendekin said the tool does not require hardware, telemetry or vending management system replacement and can be accessed via web and mobile.
Vendekin said VendAiQ is intended to help operators who manage distributed vending networks find information on machine performance, product movement, sales trends, restocking needs, inventory visibility and operational exceptions.
Operators can view a demo and request trial access through the product website, the company noted.
