365 Vision Smart Stores enable single preauthorization across linked doors
365 Retail Markets has added VisionLink, a new payment feature, to its modular 365 Vision Smart Stores, allowing consumers to select items from multiple doors in a single transaction.
The company said VisionLink is designed for modular smart-store combinations built from base units such as the PicoCooler Vision, PicoAmbient Vision and PicoFreezer Vision. With VisionLink enabled, shoppers can move between linked coolers, freezers and ambient cabinets after a single preauthorization and receive one receipt when the transaction is complete.
According to 365 Retail Markets, VisionLink “banks” the initial authorization in the backend and applies it across the connected units. The company said this approach prevents shoppers from seeing multiple preauthorization charges as they open different doors during the same visit.
VisionLink also supports multiple customers shopping simultaneously from different doors, according to the company. Each shopper completes a single preauthorization when presenting a payment method, then re-presents the same payment method to unlock additional doors for item-tracking. The system assigns items to the correct customer cart and bundles selections into one transaction per shopper, 365 Retail Markets said.
“Our Vision Smart Stores are designed to eliminate friction while giving operators the flexibility to choose configurations that fit each unique environment,” Boris Amegadjie, chief product officer at 365 Retail Markets, said in the announcement. “VisionLink takes the next step, uniting smart security with seamless controlled access for an enhanced, simplified shopping experience — driving higher sales and greater customer satisfaction.”
Operators interested in enabling VisionLink are directed to contact their 365 Retail Markets sales representative, while new customers can email the company’s sales team.
