Research from Moneris Solutions finds a growing interest in mobile payments among Canadians, according to PYMNTS. The research found that in the next 14 years, cash purchases will account for only 10 percent of money spent in Canada, while the shift towards digital payment technologies may help increase contactless transactions in the country.
The results showed that 46 percent of respondents ages 18 to 34 said they would be more likely to use a mobile wallet if their credit card was available on one. Meanwhile, 47 percent said they would use a mobile wallet if their current mobile device supported them.
