Apriva's Robertson Participates In Roundtable At Smart Card Alliance’s Payments Summit
Apriva announced that Bill Robertson, the company’s director of core solutions, will participate in a roundtable discussion on mobile commerce at the Smart Card Alliance’s 2014 Payments Summit. The event is scheduled to take place Feb. 5 to 7 at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah. The session, “What Retailers Want and Want to Avoid with EMV and NFC,” is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 7 at 2:00 p.m.
In the roundtable, Robertson will describe the numerous business advantages made available through mobile payment technology, and discuss the potential impact of emerging technologies, including EMV and NFC-based solutions. In his remarks, he’ll cover a number of topics that are relevant to merchant services providers and customers, such as suggested strategies for ensuring security and privacy.
"As mobile device adoption continues to grow at a brisk pace, businesses are now more than ever seeing the value in accepting mobile payments," said Stacey Finley Tappin, Apriva’s senior vice president for North America sales and marketing communications, in a prepared statement. “The Smart Card Alliance’s Payment Summit gives us a great opportunity to share our experiences with other participants in the payments sector, and help providers and merchants achieve their business objectives and improve profitability. We are very excited to be part of this event.”
