San Francisco To Receive Fourth Amazon Go Store

May 30, 2019

Amazon plans to soon open a fourth Amazon Go store in San Francisco, at Three Embarcadero Center, according to San Francisco Business Times. With San Francisco's recent banning of cashless stores, an Amazon spokesperson told the publication that it would begin accepting cash at its San Francisco stores.

An Amazon spokesperson recently told the Business Times that it would begin accepting cash at its San Francisco locations, but didn't provide details as to when or what that would look like. Based on the Board of Supervisors' vote earlier this month, however, the 30-day clock is already ticking.

Amazon's newest location — its fourth within the past seven months — will be its second largest compared to its 2,300-square-foot space on California Street. It will fill the southwestern corner space formerly occupied by Ann Taylor, which downsized its space about a year ago.
